Rasepi (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website rasepi.com and the Rasepi documentation platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Rasepi is developed and operated in Germany. Your platform data is processed and stored in the Microsoft Azure region in Germany. There are only a few carefully selected subcontractors within the EU, primarily Stripe for payment processing. If Azure is not an option for you, Rasepi can also be fully self-hosted on your own infrastructure in your own data center.

2. Where your data is stored (data residency)

We distinguish between the marketing website and the Rasepi platform:

  • Rasepi platform: All content, accounts, and application data are stored and processed in the Microsoft Azure region in Germany. Data does not leave Germany during normal operations.
  • Marketing website (rasepi.com): Form submissions (waiting list, contact, newsletter) are processed via Cloudflare’s Edge network.
  • Self-hosting: If you do not wish to use Azure, you can run Rasepi entirely on your own infrastructure. In that case, all data remains exclusively with you.

3. Subcontractors (Data Processors)

We use as few subcontractors as possible. All are located in the EU or offer GDPR-compliant processing:

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-99RJTHRXS4), which sets first-party cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information.

  • _ga: distinguishes users. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_*: maintains session status. Expires after 2 years.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC in accordance with its Privacy Policy. We have enabled IP anonymization and do not use the data for advertising.

You can disable Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We also set a technically necessary cookie that saves your language selection. It is required for the website to function and is set regardless of your consent to analytics.

  • rasepi_lang: stores the language you selected so that the website does not redirect you again based on your browser language. Contains only the language code (e.g., “de”). Expires after 12 months.

5. How we use your data

  • To communicate with you via Rasepi (waiting list updates, product news)
  • To respond to inquiries submitted via the contact form
  • To improve the website based on aggregated analytics
  • To protect our forms from abuse (Cloudflare Turnstile)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Retention Period

  • Waiting list & newsletter data: Stored until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Messages from the contact form: Stored for up to 12 months and then deleted.
  • Analytics data: Stored for 14 months (Google Analytics standard).

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

  • Access to the personal data we have stored
  • Correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restriction of processing or objection to it
  • Data portability: Receiving your data in a structured format
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time

8. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

  • Consent: When you submit a form, you consent to the processing of the data you provide.
  • Legitimate interest: Website analytics help us improve the product for all users.
  • Contract performance: Payment data is processed to provide paid services.

9. Security

All data is transmitted via HTTPS. Form submissions are validated on the server side and protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Access to stored data is restricted to authorized team members.

10. Changes to this Statement

We may update this statement from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above indicates the most recent version. Continued use of the website following changes constitutes consent.
